Can anybody explain to me when or why a pick-up truck is better than a van?

I mean a pick-up with 2 to 5 seats compared to a van with the same number of seats and a closed wall between the front and the back.

You can haul taller/longer/wider objects in a pick up.

I've never seen a van with two rows of seats in it with a wall behind the second row of seats. If they even make one, you wouldn't have any room in the back to haul much of anything.

Because You can stand up a freezer, refrigerator in the back of a pickup, them put the pickup cap back on and have a covered bed. (way more functional than a van).
