what is the molarity (moles per liter) of a solution prepared by dissolving 320.g of NaOH [molar mass 40.0g/mol] in enough water to =800ml?

    No. of moles of NaOH = (320 g) / (40.0 g/mol) = 8.00 mol

    Volume of the solution = 800 ml = (800 ml) × [(1 L)/(1000 ml)] = 0.800 L

    Molarity of NaOH = (8.00 mol) / (0.800 L) = 10.0 mol/L
