Are there any famous French roadsters/spyders?

Hi yes the citroen SM which is really a maserati.

Simca made a few roadsters (Vedette or Ariane). Not that I would want one. They could be purchased with a 3.9 V8. There was the Simca 1000 and follow up models.

One that gets my vote is one that so often gets swept under the rug, you rarely hear of them, but more than worthy:

Aston Martin super sport LTD. Although British. it holds its own against anything French.

Italian, the little Fiat is about bullet proof and can go places hard to get to even on foot.

I would never knock a Renault, I saved one from the crusher, drove it two months with no oil and went places you can't fathom.

Citroen makes a decent touring car, suspension and balance can't be beat.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. Seats 2, removable roof, and it's French
