Is offerings management the same thing or similar to business development?

    It's similar to that in publicly held corporations. An "offering" to sell stock in a new or old corporation requires experts to set up the corporation's accounting papers and literature to make it available to investors on the Stock Exchange. Special rules have to be followed. Balance sheets and income statements have to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. On the other hand, "business development" is a managerial function designed to grow the company, one aspect of which might be "offerings management," if the company decides to have shares of its stock available for sale to investors.
