Child services took my friend's baby (she didn't do anything). Is it possible to do a petition to get the baby back?

Sorry but they didn't take the baby away for NO reason. There was some kind of evidence for them to take the child , but sadly child services do take parents children for stupid reasons too

Sorry, but your friend DID do something to warrant them to remove the child. They do NOT do it to be "mean" or for no reason.

No, they will not place a child back in a potentially unsafe home just because you get a petition going.

She has to follow the legal protocol and do what they say to prove that she is fit to be a parent.

They do not take children away from their parents without good reason, there would have been an investigation, and there must have been evidence of neglect or cruelty, your friend should get a lawyer and you should keep your nose out of it.

They don't do it to be "mean."

A child most commonly is taken at birth if it's born with lots of drugs in its system.

Just doing all the services they want isn't enough by itself. It's not just a checklist. This person needs to show they're actually learning from the classes, improving their parenting skills, taking their drug addiction or whatever seriously, etc.

Your "petition" won't do anything but make your friend look bad.

Wouldn't do a thing now - the time to start a petition was months ago. Not 2 weeks before christmas.

CPS doesn't take the kid for no reason, and not because someone decided to be mean. There IS a reason, or reasons - you just haven't been told.

It's possible for you to apply for care of the child, anyone can apply for anyone's child at any time, social worker's get it easy in the family court because they have contract's and obligation's, they don't follow them, but no-one pulls them up, lawyer's and social worker's scratch each other's back's because that's how they make a living, stealing children,
