why do the corners of my mouth hurt when i open my mouth?

they’re red, but no swelling or lumps or bumps, and my lymph nodes aren’t swollen either

    either mouth sores, which go away with time, or its chapped lips which can be treated with chapstick.

    They are a kind of canker sore, nothing to worry about. It might alleviate some discomfort if you got some sort of OTC numbing agent at your local pharmacy. Ask the pharmacist for the one to get. BTW, generic brands are just as effective and substantially cheaper.
