If the temperature of 32.7 g of ethanol increases from 25.3°C to 78.9°C, how much heat has been absorbed by the ethanol?

    Specific heat (capacity) of ethanol = 2.46 J/(g°C)

    Heat absorbed = m c ΔT = 32.7 × 2.46 × (78.9 - 25.3) J = 4310 J = 4.31 J
