Sure, of course there is hope. When the word "hope" appears in the New Testament, it is in reference to the actions and forward looking towards the fulfillment of what God promised. It is beyond there mere sentiment of hope. It is living in the eventuality of the hope of what God said.
Don't let the world define what hope means to you, if you are a Christian.
