    You can postpone them for a while (only) but you cannot stop them.

    Go into control panel find administrator options open Administrator options find services scroll down until you see Windows update right click on Windows update find properties disable it inside of properties.

    Click apply know before you do this however that your Microsoft Store will not work with the updates turned off

    The only time I used auto update was way back with win95 and it screwed up my installation. I stopped using that service ever since. It's the first thing I do right after I install windows before I connect the computer to the internet.

    I wish I could but I don't know how. They only tend to screw up what I have.

    Unless you're running an Enterprise edition - you can't turn them off.

    All you can do is determine when they're installed.
