LOL. Always funny when people ask what the weather will be like - honestly hon, you could get anything. Really. I remember hailstones in June, and one December was so warm you could go outside with just a light jacket. Of course, I remember another December when it stayed minus 5 for the best part of a month, too .... anything goes.
So I would suggest bringing light layers that you can pull on and remove as you see fit. Also, you'll need a waterproof jacket and shoes, and if you're from a warm, dry climate, I strongly recommend bringing one or two light scarves for around the neck.
As for where to go and what to do, that's really up to you and what you are interested in. Try the travel section in your local library for books on Ireland (make sure they are recent publications) and I'd suggest investing in a recently published travel guide book for Ireland and reading that and bringing it with you when you come here. Once you've accumulated some information, you can always come back here to ask about specific things.

In Ireland it can rain anytime, all the time, or none of the time. Our weather is completely mad.

The weather in Ireland is really unpredictable. Mostly it is cloudy or rainy. We are lucky to get the odd day that is sunny. Dublin is great. The city centre is great. Phoenix Park is great as well. If you are looking for rural areas then Kerry is great. Killarney is beautiful for scenery
