Is Charles Dickens - A Christmas Carol Sexist?
Take the character of Tim, who would love their son that much. Who would cry if their son died, no one.

Tim was crippled and he was the youngest child. All good parents love their children and would grieve the death of any of their brood, especially the baby of the family and the weakest member.
Aside from Dickens' personal life, Victorian men were supposed to be the kings of their families. Same with Regency, Restoration, Tudor and every previous era men. No woman was considered to be equal to a man -- not even Queen Elizabeth I, thought to be Queen by God's mysterious will, not by her own right. Victoria deferred to her father-figures Leopold of Belgium and Lord Melbourne and then to her husband Albert, who practically ruled in her name. So any sexist views of women were normal in the period.

I don't rightly recall, but it was written in 1843 so I can't imagine it's a feminist barnstormer.

Are you asking if "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens is sexist because the parents of Tiny Tim are depicted as loving their son Tiny Tim and crying when he dies? because this doesn't make sense. There is nothing sexist about grieving over a child's death - unless, of course Dickens indicated that they were *more* upset over his death because he was a boy than they would have been over a girl and he doesn't.
This makes me wonder if you are quite clear what 'sexist' means.
Next, yes, most parents do love their sons, and many would cry if they died.
So, what exactly is your question?

IS he? No, considering that he's been dead for about 150 years. WAS he? Well, while he's widely considered to be one of the greatest writers who ever wrote in English, anyone with an even passing familiarity with the details of his personality and his life can tell you that he was an absolutely reprehensible human being. Was he sexist? Considering the way he treated the women in his own life, I'd have to say yes, but then again, I'm sure that most people who use the term sexist today would find the wide majority of men living 200 years ago to fit the description.

Only for delusional libtards, such as yourself. I'm sorry you have such a bad relationship with your own parents.
