Is my new friend actually a friend? Or is he just using me?

So 2 months ago I met this guy(he s 16, I m 19) and recently we became very good friends. Or so it seemed. We re both into the same things, especially cars. I m going to school for a mechanic and that s what he wants to do. We talk about a lot of stuff, and he always goes to me when he needs his car to be fixed and I have no problem helping him. Last night we got a little drunk together, and we were just chatting and he was like "yeah, i love you because you can fix my car and boot me alcohol". Now I m wondering if that s all our relationship is based on cause we party together and work on cars together. Like we ve gotten close and now I m wondering if this was all a mistake?

    sounds to me that he find you very handy and obviously we don't know if that is all that he cares about you.

    I think he was just teasing you. I wouldn't read too much into it but go with your intuition. If you feel like you're just being used then I'd let him know.
