My camera isn't recording videos properly?

so my camera (Panasonic model dmc-fz20) normally records videos just fine, although it isn't really a good quality it has always uploaded to my computer fine via sd card. but today I go to record a video and i put the sd card in and it saves as a picture and a seperate mp3 file of the audio? WHY!!? How do I fix this? It has never happened before? I can watch it either on my camers when reviewing it doesn't play? PLease help

sorry, typo. I meant I *can't* watch it on my camera

I have reset the settings for recording on my camera and still the same problem.

    I don't have that camera so cannot help.

    In the manual find how to reset the camera to factory settings.

    Do that then reformat the memory card in the camera. If it still won't do video properly then then camera may have developed a fault that needs to be fixed where viable.

    A setting has been changed either within the camera or at the program you are using to copy the videos.
