Is Jesus the Almighty God? What does the apostle John say (NWT)?

John tells us:

(Revelation 1:1, 6) 1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves . . .6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father.

John didn't believe Jesus was 'God' but a god.

John 1:1(NAB footnote:) “Was God: lack of a definite article with "God" in Greek signifies predication rather than identification.”

And the Word was God, sounds impressive but it is actually improper English.

It is the same as saying: "Snoopy was Dog" or "Ford is Car". Proper English requires:

"Snoopy was a dog" and "Ford is a car."

Thus what John wrote and what proper English requires is: "And the Word was a god"

Or as Vine's states "a god was the Word".

Rev 21:13 doesn't say: "I, Jesus, and the Alpha and the Omega". Remember Revelation 1:1, 6. Who gave the Revelation to John? The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who is the Alpha and the Omega? Jehovah, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Similar titles such as King do not make people the same person, otherwise David and Solomon would also be part of the trinity.

Context rules. Jesus is first and last, in that he was the first to die and be resurrected to heaven by his God and Father.

All others are judged and given life by Jehovah's appointed Judge, Jesus.

Jehovah is first and last in that he is and will always be God Almighty.

Jesus said of Jehovah, "God of me" at John 20:17 and Rev 3:2

What is so special about Revelation, is because this is after Jesus returns to heaven and as been glorified to the right hand of his God.

Revelation 3:15 Jesus tells us he is the beginning of creation, and not the creator.

According to your interpretation, the first half of Revelation proves Jesus is created and continues faithful to his God and Father.

Then at the end of the Revelation, Jesus becomes God himself.

Talk about 'stretching' God's Word.

Even Matt 28:18, 19 shows Jesus was given all authority, not that he alway had it.

When the Jews accused Jesus of being God or making himself equal to God, Jesus denied it.

Jesus, at John 10:30-36 equated his godship with the human judges of Israel at Ps 82:6.

Jesus, at John 5:19 denies being equal to God, in that he cannot do anything of himself, Can you imagine God saying 'I cannot do anything of myself"?

Yet trinitarians want us to believe God said this.

Is Jesus the Almighty God according to the apostle John? NO and it doesn't matter which bible you use.

John says that Jesus was in the Beginning , He is the Word that became Flesh !! NKJV

A real bible, just about any translation, makes in perfectly clear that Jesus is God.....especially so in the Book of John.

John 1:1-3 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,

John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM [He], you will die in your sins.”

John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.”

The New World Translation of the bible is a courterfeit lie that was written in order to fit the false teaching of the Jehovah Witnesses false doctrines.

"Greek: <o kyrios mou kai o theos mou> -- The Lord of me and the God of me."...........That a totally misinterpretation. All of the other 100's translations get it right. The New World Translation is bastardized and incorrect and is a sorry piece of work. So it took 2000 years for the Watchtower to get it right.....Our ignorant can you get?

Try John 1:1. I think he needs at no more after that.

The New World Translation is a corruption of the scriptures. I have had Jehovah's Witnesses say their text is drawn from the Wescott-Hort manuscript. Well, the Westcott-Hort manuscripts have no indefinite article in John 1:1. So why do the Jehovah's Witnesses put indefinite articles in a verse where none belong, then argue from their addition to the scriptures? Certain parts of the Bible are translated with added text, but why stand on their added parts of speech like it was inerrant scripture and incontrovertible interpretation??
