Is 5 pounds of sand enough for a 10 gallon tank? Or do I need to buy another one ?

Depends on the demensions of your tank. But on average people recommend 1 to 2 pounds of sand per gallon. So 10 to 20 pounds of sand would be more ideal for a 10 gallon aquarium.
