Is there actual audiences at sitcom shows?

    Some do. They usually brag about it in the credits, 'filmed in front of a live studio audience.' Not sure if Nick still films shows in Florida, but definitely check out studios when in the LA area. Keep in mind though, that if there is a laugh track to the show, it is still ''sweetened' in the recording studio with more raucous laughter than a live audience might provide.

    If there's a live studio audience, it says in the credits or opening. Some do, most don't any more.

    Some of them are filmed in front of a live audience, but not always.

    Many sitcoms are filmed in front of a studio audience.

    Others show the tape to an audience before it is aired, so their reactions can be added to the soundtrack.
