Is there is a way to change the system font on Windows 10 *without* having to edit the registry? Trying to get something bolder, so that it is more readable. Increasing the zoom level doesn't work, as many windows / boxes are much to large and no longer fit on the screen.

unfortunately no. you could do it in 7, but they changed it in 10.
there are LOTS of things you can no longer do in 10. i don't know why anyone wants it...

Why do you have to edit the registry?
Windows has a Themes setting that lets you specify the font and font size used for icons & title bars, etc.

Yes there most certainly is there are detailed directions on Google how to change the system font in Windows 10. It's from Microsoft support you're in the religion and spirituality section asking about computers
I am the Statesboro PC Doctor I don't mind answering questions about the personal disrepair of a computer but when you can actually read the full directions on the web and then you come here and ask the question I just have to politely tell you please go read the Microsoft support directions and follow them it's very easy
