The mass of a string is 3.6 × 10-3 kg, and it is stretched so that the tension in it is 220 N. A transverse wave traveling on this string has a frequency of 290 Hz and a wavelength of 0.48 m. What is the length of the string?

v = √(T / (m/L))
v = 290 cycles/s (0.48 m/cycle) = 139.2 m/s
139.2 = √(220 / (0.0036/L))
19376.64 = 220L / 0.0036
220L = 69.755904
L = 0.317 m
I hope this helps.
