Prime for prime, I'd go with Liston. Liston had the strongest jab in heavyweight history, and he used it perfectly to set up his killer right hand. People talk about Tyson's dominance in the mid to late 80's. Well, Liston is a 6'1" Tyson with incredibly long reach, which made his jab very very effective. On the other hand, young George was a plain slugger. He just threw non-stop swinging punches until he overwhelmed his opponents. Liston would effectively counter this with his boxing skills, tire George out, then finish him off in the middle rounds, just as Ali did.
