i got a red screen on my email about a security breach. is it a scam?

i never open spam emails and i have anti virus software. as far as i know nobody has access to my yahoo.

the screen in question is red saying my security has been breached. at first my yahoo mail was normal then the red screen flashed up. in a panic i exited out and when i went back on it hasnt come back up. and im running a scan and so far it hasnt found anything.

is this just a scam?

also i use firefox and from what i understand is your not as likely to get a virus in firefox unlike others where the risk is higher.

im already having a bad day i dont want to deal with any possible virus in my yahoo or computer.

Hit cancel in the grey window, then in the next grey window click the checkbox and hit OK. Close the window. You have malware on your system. If you do a google search you'll find a couple of fixes.

Answer: yes, absolutely it's a confidence trick. I'd hate to be the person/persons that designed this when they're found out. They're claiming to represent Microsoft.

Just phishing, trying to get you to click on something. I just delete then run a scan.
