As long as you do not renounce your citizenship you get whatever VA disability you were awarded. You can use the GI Bill and maybe the VA loan. As far as health care, you get a rating of 1 to 9 depending upon a number of factors. That prioritizes you for care at a VA TREATMENT CENTER. It is your choice to go move to a foreign nation. Down there they will pay for emergency care but you had better be sure it is an emergency. No going to the ER for a cold that you had for three days. I suggest if you are in poor health you move back to the USA and go live near a VA facility.

you get the same veterans benefits, no matter where you live
and if you qualify for VA medical care, then even if you live in quatemala, you still qualify for medical care
its just gonna get expensive, flying back to a VA clinic or hospital in the states to receive that care.
the VA doesn't provide health insurance, you have to go to a VA facility to receive it.

There is no VA facilities in Guatemala the only VA medical facility outside the US is a small clinic in the Philippines and its extremely difficult to be seen there unless you are over 50% disabled

If they receive a disability check, it will be sent to an American based bank in the US. it is up to the recipient to figure out how to get the money into Guatemala. They could use the facilities of the nearest US military hospital, but that would require travel.

no health benefits at all unless they can be seen at a VA facility overseas. the PI I know has some, but I doubt Guatemala does. they can receive any and all monies entitled since that is all direct deposit.
