Why do crocodiles walk so gayly?

I saw a similar question in a dumb Yahoo! questions YouTube video.

Well I would have to assume that you have not had very much experience with these reptiles. Crocodiles may appear lethargic and cumbersome to you on land, but apart from the fact they probably wouldn't like to drag their genitalia on the ground or crush their nests, you have obviously not seem them react to a tempting offering. Never assume they are slow; can definitely move exceedingly fast when they want to, over land as well as in water.

They use the "high walk" when on land to avoid dragging their bodies on the ground. They're quite a bit heavier than splay-legged lizards, and dragging might cause injury.

you should ask why some humans walk like crocodiles since they have been on earth at least 75 million years before we evolved. Besides females often have to walk by swinging hips left and right even though they are not gay or lesbian. It has something to do with their wider pelvis, which evolved for easier child birth. in contrast males need a narrower pelvis because it allows them to run more efficiently and faster. That is because men have traditionally been hunters in a hunter/gatherer way of life, which is how humans have lived since we evolved from an ape in the African savanna. quite simply natural selection operate quite differently on men and women. Women with narrow hips are more likely to die because of difficult childbirth, and men are more likely to fail when they try to hunt and they cannot run well enough due to having a wide pelvis.

Reposting the same thing repeatedly isn't helpful.

Crocodiles walk in this manner because of their anatomy. They have a reason. There is no reason, however, for questions as puerile as this one.
