How can I convince my girlfriend to get a hobby, or do anything on her own?

We all have problems and all have down times, but it s getting really bad. She will literally do nothing on her own save for occasionally browsing the internet for less-than-humorous images. Outside of that, she sits around and waits for me to suggest something.

This is petty, but if I m doing something I enjoy, a single person activity, she will sit near me and sigh/groan/fidget until I ask what s wrong. Predictably, the reply is something along the lines of "nothing s wrong." It s getting to the point where I can t do anything without feeling guilty.

For some more details, she says that she finds many things interesting, yet when given the opportunity she does nothing. I need some help here, because asking her to take up a hobby or suggesting she try something new doesn t work.

Update:

Oh, forgot this. But she refuses to have friends. She "hates" everyone. I understand to a degree, but she doesn't even try.

Just flat out tell her how you feel. If you can't be like that with this person then it's a sign it's not going to work out. If you can't be honest and she can't be understanding like what normal adults do, then it's a relationship that's not going to last long. You need space, privacy and you have your own passions. If she can't be her own person too, that basically reminds me of a kid. Someone really immature. Your girlfriend sounds really annoying. Do this over text, it's easier that way. Just say how you feel and try to be nice if you want. Good luck.

Talk to one of her gal pals and suggest they try to nudge her to go out with the girls and do stuff besides clubbing/drinking/etc. I'm sure they'd be happy to spend time with their friend and you can do your thing when she's out.
