  • How long until a german cockroach egg hatches in colder weather?

I lived in an infested apartment before, ended up throwing out most of my furniture and really checking everything else. I found a few lazy adults after I got settled in my new place (remarkable how long they can live without resources) but they were quickly dealt with and since I have seen no signs. Three months after I left, however, I saw a few nymphs just in strange places out in the open. They didn't even react to light. Still no signs of a traditional infestation, and no access to food OR water. I remember reading that eggs can wait up to 90 days if conditions aren't right, but I'm no expert. Does anyone here know?

Yes, they are the German variety, and unfortunately I live near the city so hitchhikers are possibilities.

  • What looks like a baby cockroach (nymph)?

I found two little bugs that reminded me of cockroach nymphs, but from pictures they were a bit different. Very long antenna, narrow body, and not afraid of light. I have no idea what to look for as there are quite a few different bugs in the yard. The similarity to cockroaches were the color, but other than that not a thing.

  • What to do if my transmission fluid is overfilled?

Yes, I was desperate and overdue for a change, so I let the Valvoline handle it. They're fine for oil, so what's the harm? Well, I've been having some transmission issues and a thought occurred to check the fluid. It seems to be way overfilled, far beyond hot while running. Even cold sat in the hot range. I didn't notice because, in all honesty, I didn't need to drive it much in the cold months. Been toasty outside since spring and that's when the issue started.

I don't have a garage or lift, or even much space to work on things. Is there any way I can drain it or do I have to risk Valvoline's "lifetime" policy?

  • How to deal with going bald in late 20's?

I don't think shaving is an option with my lumpy head, but honestly I'm out of options. I went from a normal amount of hair to severe balding in two years.

  • What's the largest number of captchas you had to do in a row?

For me, 35. This was at work where we were timed on production, it was infuriating. Resetting things would have taken an hour, so that wasn't an option.

  • Advice on coping with Wellbutrin XL?

The first few days I was wired, not tired at all and jittery (plus diarrhea). Now I'm like a zombie, struggling to move even a little (and still have diarrhea). Hit it's worst this morning after I had started my car. I woke up with my head on the steering wheel, still nervous about what would have happened if I started driving.

Some people suggest taking it at night, but if anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears. Yes, this is a "rare" side effect but a quick search seems to indicate that it isn't as rare as companies suggest. Only on 150 right now.

  • Can someone recommend some games that flew under the radar?

Don't get me wrong, I love the great ones, but who hasn't heard of RDR2? Witcher 3? Assassin's Creed series? Those games are easy to learn about and decide on.

I want some games that may have flown under the radar or got buried in competing release dates. Games like Hollow Knight (popularity debatable) are amazingly fun, while some simpler games like Iconoclasts are great too. Caladrius Blaze, in spite of the images, is more fun than it has any right to be.

  • How to treat for cockroaches in apt building?

I keep a clean apartment but the neighbors are hit and miss. Everytime the landlord does a few treatments and gets the population down they come right back. According to the maintenance guys, some tenants keep awful places full of trash. I can't help that, all I can do is try and keep ahead of the bugs.

To my credit, I have them mostly isolated to the water heater area, but they still venture out and if you don't get them then they can lay eggs.

So short of becoming a bug expert myself what can I do? I believe they are german cockroaches, the tiny ones that refuse to die.

  • 2004 Grand Cherokee losing power steering fluid but no wet spots?

This has happened only recently, but I want to say there is a leak. Unfortunately, I can't find any wet spots in the system or under the vehicle. I put in some more fluid with stop leak but that only lasts a week or so. Does anyone have an idea of where I can check or a better idea of what to look for? Odds are there is an old O-ring somewhere, but without any evidence I can't say.

  • Windows 10 Deleted over 200GB in files but only 30GB of space is freed up?

Not in recycle bin, restarting did nothing, not in an emergency folder, just missing space. Anywhere I can check or is there a specific action that would help?

  • Suggestions on a gift for a 4 year old girl?

Niece's birthday is coming up, and honestly I've been way too busy to keep up with the trends. So far she's bounced from Dora to Trolls to Scooby Doo to Disney Princess dolls... and that was in a three month span. Any ideas? I don't mind gambling a bit, but I would think a few suggestions from parents would narrow the field.

Now for me, I was thinking some kind of LEGO, maybe Duplo still. She did enjoy the set I got for her a while ago, so that would be an okay bet. On a lighter note, something at least marginally educational would be great because her parents are... my niece could use a boost.

She has more than enough drawing and art supplies, and to her credit she's maturing pretty fast.

  • What is your worst mail/parcel delivery service?

Just curious. I used to like USPS until I moved to TN. Now I m lucky if I get partial delivery. More often than not an item is scanned as "Business is closed" or "delivery attempted" when I m home all day. Even better, sometimes one package is delivered but not the other. I live in a home. There is no obstacle between delivery and my home. UPS is quickly becoming my favorite, and that s saying something.

I once spent thirty minutes on the phone, three offices bouncing the responsibility around, until the distribution center called the carrier. This package in particular "fell behind a bin" and when she found it she scanned it as attempted.

To the USPS credit, my old mail carrier was an older guy who never had this issue. But seriously, 3 out of every 10 parcels going missing or being late is insane.

  • How can I convince my girlfriend to get a hobby, or do anything on her own?

We all have problems and all have down times, but it s getting really bad. She will literally do nothing on her own save for occasionally browsing the internet for less-than-humorous images. Outside of that, she sits around and waits for me to suggest something.

This is petty, but if I m doing something I enjoy, a single person activity, she will sit near me and sigh/groan/fidget until I ask what s wrong. Predictably, the reply is something along the lines of "nothing s wrong." It s getting to the point where I can t do anything without feeling guilty.

For some more details, she says that she finds many things interesting, yet when given the opportunity she does nothing. I need some help here, because asking her to take up a hobby or suggesting she try something new doesn t work.

  • HDMI port from computer leaves rainbow static on TV set?

This happened not too long ago, but now whenever I try to apply the computer image to the tv I get a rainbow static image that does not change. I've updated drivers and checked the cable on multiple systems. Would you think it was the video card itself or something else?

The video card is an NVIDIA GeForce GT720 and as mention up until a few months ago this was never an issue.

  • I have a 2004 grand cherokee and when running coolant sprays onto the hood and front of the engine compartment, why?

Noticed about two weeks ago. Replaced low coolant and that seemed to fix the heating issue, but a week later the problem started again. The radiator cap seems firm, but a little corroded on top. The tube seems to be in tact. It only sprays when driving long distance at high speed (relatively long, work is all highway) and usually only when the air conditioning is on.

Would it be better to replace the cap first and see if that fixes the issue or should I take it to a shop?

  • Cannot catch a feral kitten in my apartment to administer liquid medicine?

I recently (unfortunately) adopted three kittens. One loves people, the other is indifferent to scared, but doesn't mind being touched when she wants it. Then there's Fraidy. Walk within five feet and she tears off. I was able to catch her twice for a vet visit and one dose, only costing me some blood loss and skin loss. She is completey paranoid and although she has been around me for the same amount of time as the other kittens she refuses to get close. She will hiss, scratch, and puff up her tail. However, she needs the de-worming medication. Is there a better way to catch her or is there no hope?

  • 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee won t start after battery removal?

What I did was disconnect the battery, then reconnected it. I got power when I put in the key, but when I attempted to turn the ignition it would just cut out as though nothing was there. The battery is connected and alive, but I have no clue what could be wrong.

  • Are there any newer (2010+) anime series without rape/forced sex?

I don t want a heated discussion (there are books worth of those on various boards) about rape as a plot device, I just can t stand it. I don t mind romantic sex scenes if they are relevant to the plot, or fanservice IF it is kept in check, but no rape. I d appreciate if anyone can suggest a few series, bonus points if they re are less known/popular as I have watched quite a bit. The reason I posted this is... well... if you ve been watching anime it seems that most things that aren t able to air in the daytime have a bunch of rape or "forced acts" tossed in randomly. Like I said, less popular things are welcome, I just need some newer stuff and I don t have a ton of time to do constant research. Best to ask the experts.

  • Any good comedy anime that aren't mainstream?

First thing's first: I'm not looking for hipster anime, just something that hasn't been shoved in everyone's face and suggested countless times.

I finally caught up on my collection, and I realized that I don't have many good comedies. I had a lot of comedies, sure, but most of them were... trying too hard or were harems disguised as a comedy. I'm not hoping for a lot here, I'll probably hear a lot of the same stuff (Ouran, Cromartie, Baka to Test*, Nichijou just to name a few) but it would be nice to hear about something that I haven't watched or even heard of before.

*The first season of this show was insane, second disappointed me a bit.

  • Does all acupuncture hurt?

I stopped going a little while back because getting the needles inserted was worse than anything I already had. Most of the time, it felt like I was being stabbed, and in the electric acupuncture, attaching the wires felt like it was tugging the needles in and from my skin. Several times, when the head (and especially the forehead) were part of the treatment, I had to bite my tongue and claw into my arms to distract myself as it felt like it hit the bone. The one time I was face up, and a needle went into my wrist, I was in immense pain for the entire session. Apparently, the guy was trained in China and had a lot of experience and certifications, so my confidence is shaken here. Is it worth trying again for insomnia, depression, and "intestinal distress", or is my experience the typical?
