How to deal with going bald in late 20's?
I don't think shaving is an option with my lumpy head, but honestly I'm out of options. I went from a normal amount of hair to severe balding in two years.
Some more tidbits. I did see it coming, both grandfathers had very thin hair, but no baldness. It's just disheartening given the rest of the nonsense I have to deal with.

Now is the time to consult a hair transplant specialist--while you still have some healthy hair roots. The procedure doesn't work for everyone, but they would be the best source to discuss other options. Just do a web search for "hair transplants" together with your city and state to find one near you.

I say try shaving and see how it looks. You can always go with a crew cut. It almost always looks better than keeping just some hair. Look at Vin Diesel, The Rock, Patrick Stewart, Bruce Willis. Hair doesn't make the man. Your attitude about yourself makes the man. I guarantee it will look better and if it doesn't then it will grow back a little. You could try Rogaine. It does work for some people. But bald can be beautiful. Otherwise, look for a companion that has/had a bald dad. Guarantee she won't care because the man she loved most in the world was also bald. Don't sweat it.
