Was Christopher Hitchens correct when he said religion poisons everything?

Religion protected by the State poisons everything because they are political pretending to be spiritual.

Religion killed Jesus, the leader of the grassroots groups. He was born in a stable, instead of a flash church building because their doors are not open to him.

My guess is that if anyone is looking for Jesus, they may have better luck looking for him in a stable, not a church.

I like to believe he was correct but folks like Stephen Pinker made one of the few points on where Christopher Hitchens may be wrong. But for the most part Hitchens was right.

No. Once Christopher Hitchens learns how to see and identify advanced scientific knowledge contained in the ancient Biblical text that makes up the first five Books of The Bible that did not originate from the minds of ancient sheep herders but from the advanced scientific mind of the God of Abraham he would become an advocate for Intelligent Design Theory being taught in every public school science classes around the world. I know all this because I am the one who discovered it.

I would not say that. There are certain types of religious thinking that can poison just about anything, but the same goes for other misguided forms of thinking, like political ideologies. Most religious people are good people, and religion can inspire people to commit good acts.

The fact of the matter: NO, that is not true. religion has done a lot of good because with out God we would not exist, if you believe in God, than maybe God might save someone. It is 100% God choice only.

No. Atheists believe anything he says. They’re no different from the theists that they criticize so much.
