how broken is it? If it's just the screen, get it repaired. The S7 is a good phone.
I'd wait for the S9, see what it does better than the S7. You may find that it would be more sensible to hold out and repair than upgrade

If you made it through the holiday season without buying a new smartphone (or getting one as a gift) you may be itching for an upgrade.
