Could the school shooting in Florida have been prevented, and how?

Metal detectors at every door, keeping the doors locked on a timer, students telling parents or other adults that this boy was posting about killing and his behavior was strange, better psychiatric treatment if thats what he was getting before. Better parenting, with discipline and moral guidance. Less exposure to violent and graphic videos, video games, movies.

It could have been prevented, but washington folks just don't want to do anything to upset the NRA.

Most highschools have good advantage points to monitor the halls, next to make sure there is a zero policy of knives, guns and bulling, next to every time a fight happens parents and student meet with councilors, next those who break the rules cannot attend. From other points its time from the top on down in government we have the call for gun control and ban certain weapons and ammo from the country, with imprisonment as the result of breaking the law.

Public school funds have been gutted little by little by the GOP every time they have majority control. We need a bigger war machine instead of educated children. Educated people are less likely to believe in diplomacy before war. And what republican doesn't love a good war to get rich off of?

These shootings just started spiking in the last couple of years. We need to find out why our society is so sick and go from there. US spends more on weapons than anything else. Local cops had to deal with him at least 20 times. That should have been reported to the FBI. Had the FBI gotten official reports from the police they may have paid more attention.
