Is there a way to buy some receiver or to make it so that I can "throw" for example an image from my phone to my desktop screen by swiping?

NFC would be good but its very limited and used more for short blocks of data such as tap and pay, so Blutooth is the best idea. Also some monitors are now DLNA enabled. Chances of you having the right matching kit to do that are very low. good luck you can e-print to most printers though.

The basic system is DLNA - Digital Living Network Alliance.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Living_Netwo...

You need to be viewing stuff from a DLNA compatible server and the other display / TV / media player also needs to be DLNA compatible and have access to the same media source.

Most smart TVs are DLNA compliant. You can get DLNA compatible software for computers and most phones.

Emby [aka Media Browser] server is also DLNA compliant so a good start for the shared storage system.

If you have multiple DLNA devices on the same network (eg. your home LAN), each can see and control or send stuff to others, as well as playing media directly.

If you view media indirectly on your phone by having a DLNA server on it and viewing via a DLNA client it should be possible to use that via WiFi without a separate server, but I've never tried that.. Some media players may have both built in.

[It's something I have messed about with in the past out of curiosity, but normally I use emby with it's own client programs just to play stuff..]

You've been watching too many TV shows/movies in which they swipe a screen and the information immediately appears in another monitor or screen. Remember, while TV and the movies look good on the screen, not all of it is real.

yes, it's called a USB data cable.

"throw" whatever you want, once it's connected...
