Yes, as did members of many ancient societies.

I"m sure some did and some didn't. Some probably loved making pottery and some hated it with a passion.

Yes. Fine painting on Greek pottery goes back to the Minoan pottery and Mycenaean pottery of the Bronze Age, some later examples of which show the ambitious figurative painting that was to become highly developed and typical. After many centuries dominated by styles of geometric decoration, becoming increasingly complex, figurative elements returned in force in the 8th century. From the late 7th century to about 300 BC evolving styles of figure-led painting were at their peak of production and quality and were widely exported.

It's a sad sad day when a student doesn't understand that while they're on the internet trying to cheat and get the answers for free, that they don't make the effort to do a basic image search with Google as to Grecian pottery in Roman times.
Dude, I feel sorry for you. You've got a LONG road ahead of you to be an adult with basic comprehension.

Do employees in container factories like to make containers? That's what Grecian pottery was: something to hold something. Wine, oil, fish sauce, flowers, lotions and creams. All needed to be put into bowls and amphorae.
Like today, packaging sold the item. A bowl with athletes running around would have been bought sooner than a plain brown bowl, especially as a souvenir of the Olympic games. A well made amphora did not leak, so wine makers bought their amphorae from potters who made quality vessels.
The employees made what paid. They didn't have to like it, as long as it looked good and did not leak. Some probably were proud of their work, and so did their best to paint a heroic Theseus or a well built discus hurler.

Yes that is why they decorated them with naked pictures of themselves. (21-feb-2018 – logical innit?)
