If the US passed a law so teachers can carry guns in school, would they receive a pay rise?
Considering nearly every time i hear about us teachers its about lack of resources and poor schools etc, so if they don't get the finance they need to run a school/class well, are they going to get extra pay to carry a gun with the responsibility of protection? Its got to be a significant amount personally if i was risking my life

Most definitely not. It would probably result in a pay cut for teachers as the law would likely end up that teachers are required to pay for their own training and would need to be certified before they are allowed to carry a gun.
Of course there could be many variations of the law, but it is not likely that any would result in a benefit for the teachers.
And honestly, there are many teachers that I would not want to be in possession of a gun.
Maybe it is time to get rid of public schools all together. There are so many resources available today, students can learn on their own.

Trump has said that teachers who carry weapons should get bonuses. It's still a stupid idea.

I doubt anyone has or will address the issue of extra pay. I think it's a really poor idea to have armed teachers. I get a vision of children dashing through the halls as bullets fly from both directions.

In 47 out of the 50 states, teachers average more then the community they serve. Budgets are a huge talking point but it is overhead and administrative cost that eat it up. Bloated system that get feed first, and trust me. People make money off of that bloat.
Extra training would have to be paid for, but then again, it could just become a requirement as happens in the private sector.

Everybody is twisting this. Teachers should have the right to conceal carry on campus. Period. If they WANT to then they can bring THEIR OWN gun to school and protect themselves or students. No one is saying they have to go out in the halls and defend the students. They have the same responsibility any other citizen has who has a ccp. We just need to get rid of gun free zones.

no you will be allowed to do bounty hunting after school and the occasional hired killing what are you sitting student maths Geometry and gun slinging sir

That will never happen. Teachers are not interested in it and I don't blame them. If we need extra security we should not make it the responsibility of our already beleaguered teachers.
