Will a legacy matter for getting into University of Washington?
I’m an out of state resident and my dad went to UW and donates a lot of money/is in the alumni association and has season tickets. My counselor said they won’t even look at this but my parents said my counselor is probably wrong. Which of them is right?

Not much. About 10,000 people graduate from UW every year, and that doesn't include graduate programs. That means that there are literally hundreds of thousands of "legacy" kids out there and far too many applying each year for that to be a major consideration. You are going to have to get in on your own accomplishments.
