Hi I am trying to disable Microsoft Edge and re-set Internet Explorer I did system restore For another problem.,and when my PC came back to life ,it had restored Edge and re-installed M/Edge. ---The Microsoft mafia want us to use their EdgeProgram .... (I am at my wits end .

You're complaining about the "Microsoft mafia" wanting you to use Edge, but then using IE is just fine?
Go to Settings / System / Default Apps and change the default web browser from there.

I don't think there is any way to disable MS Edge short of deleting it which could cause other issues. It simply is better leave it as-is and use whatever other web browser you want.
And of course MS wants you to use their products, but you don't have to.
Settings>Apps>Default apps>Web browser> and choose whatever browser you want that is currently installed.

They are 2 different programs. Just ignore Edge and set IE as your default (why you'd want to use either is beyond me, they are both garbage).
