Do any believers in life after death find the concept of an eternal life terrifying at all?

Do any of you even have those worries at all? Has it never occurred to you how much scarier the thought of living forever is over just dieing? Does your faith help temper any such worries?

    No! It just means it's a way we have not passed before. Rely on faith here.

    The idea of everlasting life is a real blessing!

    You're not forced to live forever if you happen to get tired of living forever when God resurrect you all you have to do is ask him and he will let you die a normal death.

    No; but I think life is pretty awesome. If there is an eternal soul, then that's just what it is. No need to worry. Just like if there is no consciousness after death, it is what it is. No need to fret over it.

    No, I don't find it terrifying at all. Quite the opposite.

    There’s a good reason why heaven isn’t revealed to us - we only get little glimpes of it here and there: because Christians would be nose diving off of skyscrapers if they knew how amazing it is.

    I had a hint of its glory in 2003.... the first thing I did was beg God to kill me so I could go there. Unfortunately He wouldn’t and has kept me here to tell people like you about Him. This is my penance. He might keep me here as an exile in your world until I’m a hundred.... *sigh*.

    From what I have read, there is no "time" in the spirit world, so we don't feel the passage of time.

    "At the moment of death, our soul rises out of its host body. If the soul is older and has experience from many former lives, it knows immediately it has been set free and is going home. These advanced souls need no one to greet them. However, most souls I work with are met by guides just outside Earth's astral plane.

    A young soul, or a child who has died, may be a little disoriented until someone comes closer to ground level for them. There are souls who choose to remain at the scene of their death for a while. Most wish to leave at once. TIME HAS NO MEANING IN THE SPIRIT WORLD. Discarnates who choose to comfort someone who is grieving, or have other reasons to stay near the place of their death for a while, experience no sense of time loss. This becomes now time for the soul as opposed to linear time.

    Homecoming is a JOYOUS interlude, especially following a physical life where there might not have been much karmic contact with our intimate soulmates. Most of my subjects tell me they are welcomed back with HUGS, LAUGHTER and much HUMOR, which I find to be a hallmark of life in the spirit world."

    Destiny of Souls - Michael Newton

    {Information received from the past-life regressions of thousands of people.}

    If there were no cycles of nature such as day-night, winter-summer, birth-aging-death, etc – then we would not have the concept of passage of linear time.

    We are souls - spiritual beings having a human experience. Soul is consciousness - the kind which is independent of the brain or body - it has no physical characteristics. Since the soul does not experience any "cycles of nature" it does not experience any passage of time.
