My brand new build windows 10 computer keeps restarting due to "problems".?

And whenever it blue screens, it shows a sad face with text beneath it.

"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We re just collecting some error info, and then you can restart."

I have already turned off the automatic restart button on the control panel.

Control panel->Security->System->Advanced System settings

But it keeps restarting. Is there something else that I am forgetting to turn off, like something in the bios? Or do I just go to a shop and have them look over everything in it.

Update:

Also, the Stop code that makes it do the blue screen is different every single time. So I am pretty sure it is nothing specific, but I don't know

Those blue screens are your friends, you can use them to diagnose what the problem is, because if you've turned on crash dump saving, you can get software that will analyze the crash dumps. One such program is called Bluescreenview, you can download it from here:

    https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.htm...

The program can tell you which drivers are causing the problem, and if there is a repeating pattern of crashes, or if they are truly random. Chances are likely that it's not truly random, there is a pattern that you weren't fast enough to catch yet. But you don't have to catch the crashes in the act, you can just let it create the crash dumps and then Bluescreenview will analyze them after the computer restarts.

You cannot fix the unit by turning things off and there is no need to pay a shop.

Undo everything you have done and then go to settings/update and security/troubleshoot blue screen if that does not fix it then go to recovery in update and security where you will run the repair this pc routine.

Just curious--if the unit is new and has a problem why are you considering any other option than to return it for repair/replacement? However, if the reset does not completely fix it then it has a hardware problem and should be returned for replacement.

If it's brand-new like from a store you need to just take it back don't be tampering with it you'll void the warranty but if you're saying that Windows upgraded to the latest build of Windows 10 and now you're having problems that's not uncommon one little bit I'm having a whole lot of problems with the new build once it upgrades I found that the only solution is to do a complete reinstall of Windows 10 using the Windows 10 media installation tool that cures the problem there's something about the upgrade that doesn't upgrade properly and then the computer crashes sometimes The Mouse and the keyboard and the USB won't work totally reinstalling Windows 10 with the Windows 10 media installation tool fixes the problem but you need to grab your data first by using Linux Mint and from there saving it to an external drive

If it keeps restarting - - - how did you get to the Control Panel??

    Reinstall W10

    Check BIOS settings

    • SATA Controller Mode – AHCI

    • Boot Order - #1 – Flash Drive or Media Drive (DVD)

    • Make sure UEFI is enabled & Legacy is disabled

    Begin Windows 10 installation.

Insert the Windows 10 ISO DVD Media Drive or USB Flash drive

At the Windows Language → Time → Keyboard pane → press Shift + F10

If Shift + F10 does not work → Repair Computer → Troubleshoot → CMD Prompt

    CMD Prompt

    X:\Sources>diskpart [enter]

    DISKPART>list disk [enter]

DISKPART>select disk [0] (largest GB) [enter]

    DISKPART>clean [enter]

DISKPART>convert GPT (for UEFI installation) [enter]

    DISKPART>exit [enter]

    X:\Sources>exit [enter]

    Windows Language → Next

    When prompted for the W10 key → "I don't have a key"

    Select W10 version →

    Custom →

New → OK (do not adjust the partition size) This will automatically partition the HDD

Once W10 has loaded & "will Restart in 10 seconds", remove the Media Disk / Flash Drive

    \\☺

Something strange is happening from some weeks, when I updated my Windows 10 to the Creators Update(fall) my pc started to randomly restarts (3 times ... under heavy load and computer is perfectly stable even after couple hours of gaming, so I believe that the problem is not really hardware-related.

Take a picture of the blue screen errors wth your mobile/cell phone then take the computer back to the shop. Almost certainly you have bad ram, hardrive, or motherboard.

Don’t fiddle about with it - you paid for a warranty.
