The demographic make up of the military has nothing to do what Kaepernick does or did. He kneeled in protest over his perception of police treatment of blacks in the U.S. People who did not appreciate Kaepernick's actions needed a rallying cry and used the concept that kneeling during the anthem was a direct insult to the military. When I cover my heart during the national anthem, while I stand and remove my hat, it's not in honor of the U.S. military but due to my pledge of allegiance to the flag and the Republic for which it stands.

Obviously you don’t know crap about the military.

70% white, 17% black, and 13% Hispanic. That's hardy "almost entirely ..." You are grossly wrong and really should do your homework before spouting fake data. [https://www.statista.com/statistics/214869/share-o...

That is definitely not true.
I've known and seen several U.S. military veterans in the past. Most of them were white. A few were black, and there was maybe only ONE Mexican troop that I saw.

Simply because he has drank the liberal koolaid, he thinks that using his job to “protest” and showing disrespect for our country is an acceptable way of showing his dislike for our president. Our flag represents ALL citizens and by thinking it only represents the president or our government is idiotic. And many in our military have died simply to protect that emblem that represents us all.

Kaepernick's original plan was to remain seated during the National Anthem. It was actually his friend Nate Boyer, Seattle Seahawks player and former Green Beret who suggested that Kaepernick kneel instead out of RESPECT for the military.

Because some people find it offensive when their loved one served in the military, and Kaepernick won't stand for the anthem. That's an argument a lot of people use. I don't think that the fact that there are POC and illegals in the military changes the fact that their loved one served. They're the ones being "sensitive snowflakes".

Clearly you've never served.

Kaepernick, by choosing to kneel for the National Anthem, is disrespectful to the United States. Standing for the National Anthem is a simple courtesy.... a courtesy performed by thousands of non-Americans every day at the start of sports games across the country, and millions of proud Americans. Kaepernick made his decision, exercised his Right to free speech, and now he can enjoy the rewards.
