Does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong with my car?
The engine oil light is coming on on the dashboard. But I just got an oil change and I checked the oil and it’s full. Also the car has been overheating. No smoke is coming out, but the temperature gauge is going all the way up to H. I put in some antifreeze and that worked for a few days, but it is going back up now. Thanks in advance.

Make sure they put the proper oil in the engine, many quick lube places will put cheaper 5W20 oil in the car if you don't stop them.
Valvoline oil stop will do this on their coupon variety oil changes, pay the extra $5 for the proper 5W30 oil or you're getting screwed.

The cooling system has become very confusing for the general public.
You need to take the radiator cap off (when the engine is cold) and see if the radiator is low. If it is, fill it to the top with antifreeze. Then make sure the coolant reservoir is filled to the COLD line.
It's very likely that there is a coolant leak. Have the vehicle checked and repaired.
The quart or two of coolant in the coolant reservoir is only a small percentage of the coolant in the active cooling system. If there is a leak, the cooling system can go dangerously low in a short time, but the coolant in the reservoir can't go into the radiator that fast. So you could cook your cylinder heads and a cylinder head gasket will fail. This may have already happened. It needs to be checked. So don't just keep driving and adding when the temperature gauge is off the scale.
The oil pressure in a severely overheated engine will drop, sometimes significantly!

With the oil light issue it could be the wrong oul, or filter or there could be a wire off, or less likely a faulty oil sender. As regards the overheating it is probably your thermostat

Probably two separate things. This is not a job for Y!A - your car won't last the year, maybe not the month, unless you get it to a mechanic very soon.

Keep on driving like that and you will kiss that car goodbye. You probably have a leak.

See a garage and get the oil filter replaced and the oil pressure checked with an external gauge. Check with the readings on the scan tool. Oil pressure sensor could have issues or the oil pump has failed. Get the cooling system pressure tested if the coolant is leaking. Check if the cooling fans are working and check for a stuck closed thermostat.

Hmm best to go to a car mechanic. But this can b a potenital cause. u say no smoke is coming out of ur car. Does it usually come out?
If it usually comes out, then it could be that a tube is blocked in ur car by some petrol debris. It needs to be cleansed. To me it seems like the petrol is getting 'burned' but the heat that is produced lacks a tube to be removed from (due to the debris).

Sounds like your thermostat is stuck. It pops open when your engine heats up and channels water into the radiator.
