How to remove sharp food particle stuck in gum tissue?
I didn t realize that s why my mouth was sore because I have a wisdom tooth growing in and half of it is still covered by gum tissue. I looked in the mirror and saw a small black spot and think it may be a fragment of a tortilla chip. It s not in between the gum and tooth but just in the gum. Any suggestions are appreciated

Time for a dentist. They can remove it without any pain. You doing it risks infections.

Alyssa, you need to see your dentist ASAP. That black spot might be a food particle, yes, but it could also be a sign that you've got an infection going on under the gum. Either way, you need to see your dentist, and right away.
