A 257 kg roller coaster car begins at rest at the top of a 37.0 m slope?

If it slides without friction down the slope, how fast is it traveling at the bottom? If the car had a mass of only 192 kg, how fast would it be traveling at the bottom?

    A 257 kg roller coaster car begins at rest at the top of a 37.0 m high slope

    If it slides without friction down the slope, how fast is it traveling at the bottom?

    m*g*h = m/2*V^2

    mass m cross

    V = √2gh = √19.612*37 = 26.94 m/sec

    If the car had a mass of only 192 kg, how fast would it be traveling at the bottom?

    as shown up mass cross in formula ...final speed will be the same !!!

    mass is not a factor

    assuming 37 m is the height of the slope, you are vague on this.

    v = √(2gh) = √(2•9.8•37)
