8-10 would a good amount of letters and numbers

It is your choice but 4 characters and 4 letters are ideal, select something that you will remember.

I like to use combinations of symbols, upper and lower case letters

and numerical values, at least 16 characters that I will never forget.

Edit: No B'days,SS numbers addresses or the likes.
