    lim x-->9- f(x) = lim x-->9- (x+9) = (9+9)=18

    lim x-->9+ f(x) = lim x-->9+ (27-x) = (27-9) = 18

    SInce lim x-->9- f(x) = lim x-->9+ f(x), lim x-->9 = 18

    If x is just a little less than 9, whats the value of the function?

    If x is just a little more than 9, whats the value of the function?

    If the two above values are the same, then thats the limit, else the limit doesnt exist.

    If you plug in x=9 you get 18.

    That's true even if you approach from the left or the right.

    9 + 9 --> 18

    27 - 9 --> 18

    Answer:

    b. 18

    The limit should be clearly posted, and if it's not, contact your local government.
