Do I need cell phone insurance if my phone has been paid off?

I'm planning on paying off my iphone 7. Is the $13/month insurance still necessary? The insurance deductible is $200 if I lost or ruined my phone.

The fact that the phone has been paid for has no bearing on the likelihood that it will be damaged, lost, or stolen.

It's never necessary. It's your choice.

Depends on what you think the chances are that you will lose of damage your phone. We cannot evaluate that risk.

It is not <<required>> (unless some part of your usage contract requires it), so the choice is up to you.

The insurance has nothing to do with whether or not you've paid off your phone. If you're accident prone then it's possibly worth it, otherwise, it's simply a nice money maker for your carrier.
