Is it possible to get a cell phone that will ring more than about 29 seconds?

I changed to Consumer Cellular because my friends phone rang many times. Mine did too, at first. Now it rings about 26 seconds and I called customer service and they said they

cannot make it ring any longer. (like they never could). It goes to the answering message before I have time to answer it.

Consumer Cellular phones don't support more than 30 seconds of ring time. It's a hard-coded network limitation, one I suspect is instituted by AT&T/T-Mobile (who lease spectrum out to CC)

maybe you should get your phone fixed, there might be something wrong with it

The network will determine how long the phone rings --- not the phone itself.

Wired lines once had an essentially unlimited number of rings,

but at some point the service providers limited them to 15 rings.

Some may be even tighter about it than that now.
