LANGUAGES: WHY IS FRENCH SUCH A DIFFICULT LANGUAGE TO LEARN AND OR READ ?

    Don't get me started !!! French is not a logical language and requires much pronunciation that English does not have.

    Having said that. English does contain many French words, we just say them differently.

    English comes from a root of old Norse, as do Norwegian, Icelandic, Swedish, Danish Dutch and German.

    That is why English speakers find German easier to learn.
