I get a violation notice and while the answer is from my account, Yahoo thinks the answer not from me?

If you look at the question you supposedly got the violation on, you'll see your answer is still there. I don't know if that email is generated by accident or if someone did report your answer but it didn't actually get removed. I've found, every time I get a violation email and click the appeal link, if it says the answer didn't come from "this account" it means the answer is still posted (so there's nothing to appeal). I don't know if points get removed or not, because I don't monitor my points closely.

This is a glitch that has happen often here. What I found out is that if you look at your profile activity page under My answers you may see your answer is still posted. But the bad point is that you lost the points. So how can you appeal something like that. It really sucks.

Wat a Violationice or report notice email. Yes, THERE IS a difference. Yesm the question or answer DID come from your account BUT for some reason the server computer connot connect the dots between your answer and the EMAIL ACCOUNT you you were logged into when you posted the answer., so you have NOT lost 10 points.. Unlress you get either a a report notice or violation notice email from verizon about the SAME answer AND the appeal hyperlink opens and takes you to the appropriate appeal page, it's time to move on. DO NOT use the alternative VIOLATION appeal form available through the help pages, because that has not worked for me for MONTHS. The last time i got a violation notice email from Verizon was 10 months ago in August, 2017. Yes, I know some people calims it works for them, but i am pretty skeptical about that. I had two report notice emails today on 2 of my answers and i got the same DEFAULT message that I've been getting for YEARS on MULTIPLE email accounts over the last 8 and half years. Someone is still talking me and still targeting my answers AND my Email accounts with the intention of triggering an AUTOMATIC email account suspension..

YA is run by server computers and computer programs, NOT Yahoo/Verizon/Oath Employees.Verizon oath has owned Yahoo and YA for not quite 1 year.

ive had that happen before and i noticed its cause yahoo changed their minds about the violation and took it out cause i noticed my answer would still be there and i wouldnt lose any points, its their way of changing their minds

Yeah, I got one of those too. Yahoo has been a bit glitchy these days.

That is normal now. Yahoo is full of glitches.
