The Quilliam Foundation, the well-known liberal Muslim think-tank, is "Islamophobic", according to this law professor. Beyond satire?

Just when I thought the Guardian couldn't shred its credibility any further:

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/may...

"Maajid Nawaz leverages his status as a “former Islamist”, brown skin and an affiliation with Harris, to peddle Islamophobia within largely cosmopolitan circles and liberal audiences. His Quilliam Foundation adopts the Islamophobic tenet that radicalization is a uniquely Muslim phenomenon, and Nawaz has stated that “Islamism is the biggest form of extremism”, endorsing destructive policing programs that have eroded the civil liberties of Muslims in the United Kingdom. With the help of Harris, Nawaz has extended his native informant reach into the United States."

  • Why you annoyed at the Guardian? They're just reporting what's been said

Sounds to me like he is an atheist but pretending to be an undercover Muslim. The Quilliam Foundation gets their fund from right-wing foundations such as BreitBart run by Jews.

Not sure what your problem is.

This is in the "Opinion" section. Do you know how newspapers work?

Nothing wrong with being objective about issues; whoever you are, whatever colour you are and whatever belief system you wish to adopt.

Well, he sounds like someone who’s a little self loathing of his culture ( nothing wrong with that) the problem is many Muslims are quite happy with their religion, so it probably really annoys him that they can’t see the light!!! ... they must be brainwashed or something.

The Guardian or cosmopolitan * elite * can’t complain as they support many white western speakers who seem to loathe there own culture, so what’s wrong with a brown skinned person doing it??? Must be culture appropriation or something?

What’s this idea of being progressive anyhow. Sam Harris has clashed many a time with the * progressive * left. Wierd I know, almost as if neither side really knows what progress really means, either that or progress isn’t that rational or heading in multiple directions???

    It's reasonable to be religionophobic.
