Because the creators of the game are pure evil

it's sort of the point of the game. the game is mostly a boss rush, with very few run and gun levels in between. if the bosses weren't tough to learn the patterns of and defeat, the game would be too short. as it is, it is already pretty short if you're a long time player of similar games like megaman and tohou and are used to the onslaught of projectiles and split second dodges
