    My friend who grew up on a farm had a pig. It was really smart, and followed her around like a happy dog. Unfortunately, after a certain amount of time, they had to slaughter it along with the rest of the pigs that size, or she would have had a 1000 lb boar for a pet. Just be aware if that might be a possibility.
