DOES TWITTER ANALYTICS LAST FOR 28 DAYS?

    The data is available for years. I just checked mine and went all the way back to Sep 2014

    I think you are confusing the 28 days part with the twitter analytics default - the default for twitter analytics is "last 28 days" but you can change the date range to something else that you want it to analyze. Like I said, mine went back to Sep 2014 when I changed the date range.
