If you mean how to verify someone in the Army? Just ask for his or her military email address. It ONLY ends in .MIL (ex. @mail.mil) -- If s/he has any excuse why they can't or won't give it to you or the address doesn't end in .MIL you know they are fake

And NO soldiers deployed overseas are ever going to contact complete strangers over social media. If you have never met in person and s/he contacted you out of the blue, s/he's fake

Military romance scams are one of the top 5 biggest scams online

The other simple way is to insist on a live video chat where you can see AND hear them live. Ask them to wear their uniform on the chat and when you are talking ask them to do something specific (grab a pen and write your name on it and hold it up, turn around, raise 2 fingers or whatever) to make sure they are not showing you a stolen video. Again any excuse why they can't or won't talk to you live on cam means they are fake. Any real soldier would want a video chat to make sure YOU weren't some scammer, or even a terrorist, trying to target them from a fake profile which is why they would have insisted on having video chats right away so they could verify YOU weren't fake

What do you Mean? Your question is not clear. Do you mean how do you verify someone is in the U.S. Army?? Ask to see their Military ID card.

I can verify for you that the US Army does in fact exist. I have worked with them before.

If you are asking how you can verify that someone is a MEMBER of the US Army, then my guess is that you are probably chatting with someone online that claims to be a Soldier. They probably want money or something from you.

It is a scam. Any idiot can find a picture of a Soldier online and create a fake profile on Facebook or some other site.

Members of the US military deployed overseas don't need people to apply for leave for them, buy them a plane ticket, send them an iPhone or iTunes gift cards, or send them money because they can't access their bank account.
